How Do Muscles Connect With the Body?

The different parts of your body are connected by tissues. Your bones are connected to each other by ligaments. Your bones are connected to your muscles by tendons. Tendons are extremely strong tissues that are not elastic. Thus, when muscles are pulled, your bones can move. Tendons always connect bones to your muscles.
How Muscles Move the Body
Your muscles contain a lot of movable fibers. You have skeletal muscle attached to the bones of your entire body. When you want to move, your muscles adjust their positions to make your body. When you move, the force of the movement passes through the muscle and the corresponding tendon. The force in the tendon initiates the movement of the bones and joints.
How Tendons and Muscles Work Together
Your tendons and muscles work together to create a pulling force. These two contract to create the force and your tendons control the force. Your tendons endure the tension within your body allocate the force to do its job. Your muscles are useless without your tendons. It will not connect properly to your bones without tendons. In short, without your tendons, your muscles will not be able to create the needed force to make your body move.
In the past, it was thought that the only function of your tendon was to connect your muscles and bones. Recent studies have confirmed that tendons have the ability to spring when your muscles contract to create force. When you walk, muscles in your legs create force. Your tendon adapts this force and applies them when needed. This action allows you to maintain your balance.
These two also work together to store and regain energy your body needs. When your tendons are stretched, the energy produced by your muscles is stored. When your tendons return to their original state, the energy is released.
Keeping Your Muscles Healthy
You have more than 600 muscles in your body. Your muscles pump blood throughout your body and help you breathe. More importantly, your muscles help you move around. You need to keep your muscles healthy so you can walk, jump, run, lift things and do all the things you enjoy. The right exercise, a balanced diet and getting enough sleep and rest will keep your muscles functioning efficiently. Healthy muscles can allow you to move freely without any discomfort. They keep your body strong, too.
If you have strong muscles, you will be able to keep your joints in good shape. If the muscles around your knee are weak, you will most like injure your knee. With strong muscles, you will also be to maintain your body balance and will prevent slips and falls.
