Muscle Building Workouts - Build Muscle Fast With Only 2 Workouts a Week!

Here's the most common cause of why guys FAIL at gaining size from muscle building workouts - OVERTRAINING.
Somehow the myth got started decades ago that you need to do muscle building workouts 5-7 days a week in order to develop muscle and get big. Well, decades have passed, and the verdicts in: it doesn't work.
"But there's a guy at the gym and he's big and he works out every day."
Okay, everyday workouts DO work for one type of individual: the genetically gifted.
This means that if you have superior genetics with superior recovery ability (most guys don't have either) then you can make muscular gains by going to the gym everyday.
But for the vast majority of guys, 5 workouts a week are actually detrimental for muscle growth.
You see, your muscles grow during rest, not during your workouts.
If you are working out every day, you are not allowing for that crucial rest and growth period to take place.
Here's some proof to the rest theory:
Take a full week or two OFF. Come back to the gym and try to do your regular poundage.
Most guys will not only be as strong as before, but will be actually stronger; setting record highs for lifts!
Now if you structured your workouts so that you have ample rest periods in between workouts, your strength would consistently increase until you hit your limits.
More strength means more resistance to the muscles and more forced growth to occur.
Two Workouts a Week.
This is actually an excellent way to build muscle quickly and effectively, allowing your body the proper rest for superior growth. Your lifts will get stronger and your body will become bigger.
  • Schedule each workout 2-3 days apart (Mondays and Thursdays for example)
  • Split your workouts in 2 (Mondays - Chest, Shoulders, Triceps, Hamstrings / Thursdays - Back, Biceps, Quads, Calves)
  • Rest on your off days. Don't throw in a set of biceps or perform any weightlifting during rest days. This is the GROWTH period. Just eat good and allow your body to GROW!
